THE PENINSULA TOKYO
At The Peninsula Tokyo, as part of their art project, we have had an opportunity to produce three types of original ukiyo-e prints depicting the daily life of The Peninsula Tokyo with a mix of past and present times.
In order to show the ukiyo-e production in person to as many people as possible, an artist-in-residence program will be taking place at the hotel, where the artist OZ will be staying and working on the artworks during the event. You can freely view the production scene of OZ's creation on a big canvas with the same ukiyo-e (woodblock print) design, either at The Lobby or at the art studio depending on the time of day. This is a rare opportunity to be able to see up close how ukiyo-e is crafted, so we hope you get to take a look at it. Thus, we look forward to your visit.
