Our ukiyo-e illustrated by Masumi Ishikawa will be on show at the exhibition New Japanese Aesthetics: Manga Creation, hosted by Hankyu Umeda Department Store.
The seven prints featuring KISS, Iron Maiden, and David Bowie will be exhibited alongside works by legendary manga artists such as Tezuka Osamu (author of Astro Boy), and Koyama Chuya (author of Space Brothers). As ukiyo-e are considered to be the origin of the manga we know today, we are thrilled for our contemporary ukiyo-e to be exhibited together with the works of such iconic artists.
Please drop by if you are in the area.

Exhibition period: March 24 - April 5
Time: 10:00 - 20:00 (closes at 18:00 on the final day)
Place: Hankyu Umeda Department Store, 9F Art Stage (Osaka, Japan)

LA ART SHOW

Thank you all for visiting our booth at LA Art Show in the City of Angels!
All of our prints were exhibited along with a rare feature of woodblocks and sequence prints of our Aladdin Sane Ukiyo-e. Many local and international visitors came to see our artworks, and it was a great experience to present our contemporary ukiyo-e in person.
We can’t wait to do an event in Los Angeles again, hopefully very soon!

TODAY AT APPLE

Together with the Apple store in Marunouchi (Tokyo), we hosted “Art Lab: Digital Representation of Ukiyo-e with Sekioka Senrei” on January 26th 11:00am-12:30pm. People gathered to hear Sekioka Senrei III talk about his life as an ukiyo-e woodcarver, and the adventures and challenges of his craftsmanship and career.

After the talk and live wood-carving demonstration, attendees were invited to digitally recreate our David Bowie Shapeshifting Comparison (Aladdin Sane) ukiyo-e using Procreate, an iPad drawing app. It was specially adapted to this event, and it was fascinating to see everyone's creativity through a single artwork.A big thank you to everyone who participated and made it a huge success, and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

SCOPE MIAMI BEACH

We hope to be back in Miami Beach soon.
