To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Austro-Japanese friendship, the MAK Vienna will be holding two exhibitions from the 25th: "KUNIYOSHI +" dedicated to the artist's works, and "UKIYOENOW", where all our ukiyo-e will be shown alongside prints by Andrew Archer. It is a great honor to announce that all of our works have been purchased by the MAK this year to be part of their collection, and that they will be exhibited at a show that commemorates such a historic event. We will be holding demonstrations with a traditional printer from Japan and talk shows on the 26th, so please join us if you are in the area.
We will be back in Paris from the 16th to 20th of October for ASIA NOW.
ASIA NOW is an art fair specializing in contemporary Asian art, offering artists, galleries, collectors, and all art lovers the ideal platform to exchange dialogue and interaction on the contemporary Asian art scene. All of our prints will be available for purchase during the fair. Looking forward to seeing you there.

We had our UKIYO-E PROJECT Exhibition @ ENZO SHOP in Kaga, Ishikawa from July 20th. We’ve done many ukiyo-e related events held in Kanazawa, Ishikawa. On the last weekend of July, we held Mr. Tatsuya Ito’s printing workshop & matcha experience at Chokyuji Temple in Kanazawa, and on August 1st, we held Mr. Shigeru Shindo’s mini-conference on ukiyo-e at a modern Spanish fusion restaurant Respiracion in Kanazawa. Many thanks to the people that came to these events, and also to everyone that supported us to make this happen. Thank you ENZO SHOP for everything!
UKIYO-E PROJECT
We installed UKIYO-E PROJECT pop-up at Daikanyama T-Site, where all of our prints are being displayed together for the first time! Please stop by if you’re in the area! It is scheduled to be on display and for sale until August 7th.
We are greatly honored to have both pieces of David Bowie Ukiyo-e “Takezawa Toji” and “Kidomaru” to officially be part of the British Museum’s collection!

Today, Ukiyo-e Project has announced our brand new Ukiyo-e!
The third collaboration in its series will be with David Bowie, who has been known to have a deep cultural relationship with Japan. He is also known for including many Kabuki and No Play elements in his own stage performance, and the artwork will be paying homage to him. A unique artistic endeavor in collaboration with two of the world’s most renowned photographers. The first Ukiyo-e draws from Terry O’Neill’s “Diamond Dogs” promotional photograph, taken in 1974, and the second one from Brian Duffy’s photograph which resulted from a shoot done for the album cover for David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane record in 1973. We have created two David Bowie Ukiyo-e.

コラボレーション第３弾は、親日家としてよく知られ、ご自身のステージ・パフォーマンスに歌舞伎や能などの要素を多く取り入れた、デヴィッド・ボウイへのオマージュ作品です。世界的に著名なロンドン出身の写真家テリー・オニール氏による「ダイアモンド・ドッグズ」プロモーション撮影時の写真(1974年)と、英国人の写真家ブライアン・ダフィ氏が撮影したデヴィッド・ボウイのアルバム「アラジン・セイン」（1973年）のジャケット撮影から選ばれた一枚をモチーフに、２作品制作いたしました。

National touring exhibition "Cat who became Art 🐈" also exhibits KISS ukiyo-e "Monstrous Ukiyo-e"! Even in the book with all the presented works, you can see the ukiyo-e where Eric Singer is the 'Nekomata (mythical two-tailed monster)', which stands for cat monster just like his character in the band. 4/15-6/4 @ The Niigata Prefectural Museum of History.
